Like our inline and offline systems, GWF cover production systems are built around our H.O. Rotary cutter. This is the cornerstone of any GWF web finishing system.

Understanding the limited format requirements of magazine and catalog covers, the GWF system leads into the cutter with a single frame integrated machine that includes one web in/two ribbons out slitting and ribbon positioning along with two consecutive plow folds. A large variety of formats can be produced with this machine, all while keeping a very simple, repeatable operating procedure within minimal floor space.

As an added feature inclusion, if your business produces inserts or FSI products in higher volume situations, GWF cover production systems are ideal for these as well.

GWF cover production systems will not only produce standard 4, 6 and 8 page flat and folded publication size formats (a3 and a4), but a variety of other products in all cut off sizes and page counts including 12 and 16 page products by simply adding a shear slitting module post plow folds.

For even greater page count flexibility, adding an angle bar for 3 ribbons out and/or a third plow fold will maximize product format potential while minimizing investment layout.

Remember - as far as inserts go, the GWF H.O. Series rotary cutter does the heavy work. It is not unreasonable to consider only a 1in/6out or 1in/8out ribbon deck with exit side shear slitter inline, before a GWF H.O. Series rotary cutter, to mass deliver post cards (fully bled on all sides) if that’s your business need today.
