The GWF series 2010 H.O. (high output) rotary cutter is designed as a final cut off and delivery device for rotary web fed printing presses and stand alone offline finishing systems. Unlike a folder, sheeter or rewinder, the GWF series 2010 rotary cutter provides completely finished and consumer ready product directly from the press. The function of the GWF series 2010 rotary cutter allows for on demand selection of (chop) cut off sizes to any divisible dimension of the press plate repeat up to 10 around. Full bleed finished products can be delivered 1, 2, 3, 4, or 5 around the single plate repeat. The exact cut off length dimension of full or common bleed products are easily customized in increments of .001” (0.254mm), through bleed/gap waste size adjustment. This is achieved through a fully interactive knife location software program and infinite, 360° rapid knife placement around the cutting cylinder.

The versatility of the GWF series 2010 rotary cutter is extreme and can even include flat sheets (full press repeat and width), which can be shingled and stacked into a receding pile delivery. The GWF H.O. Series rotary cutter will also contour cut and deliver virtually any shape using commercially available solid dies and a simple affordable make ready. Common uses of the GWF H.O. Series rotary cutter are multi page booklets, brochures, mailers, free standing inserts and all types of specialty/sweepstakes products, as well as fixed and variable length magazine covers with or without gatefolds in both saddle stitched and perfect binder ready configurations.

The GWF series 2010 rotary cutter is typically suited to “woven” paper substrate, but can be adjusted to cut non-woven materials as well, either solely or in combination using woven and non woven materials. The GWF series 2010 rotary cutter handles a paper gauge range from single thickness 35# (45gsm), basis weight to multi thickness formats up to .062” (1.5mm). Additional thickness can be accommodated by request through design upgrade.
